For the chili con carne with coffee, cut the onions into small cubes and fry in oil with a little sweet tomato paste. Add the minced meat and fry it until it is nicely browned. Peel the garlic, crush it and add it. Roughly chop the canned tomatoes and add them to the minced meat along with the liquid.
Finely chop the chilies and mix them into the mince. Add the beef broth, malt beer and coffee as well as the sugar and the spices and let it boil down for about 1 1/2 hours. Now strain and wash the beans and add to the chili. Cook for another 30 minutes and then serve the chili con carne with coffee.
