For the pasta casserole, boil the pasta in salted water and quench in cold water. Heat oil in a frying pan. Finely dice the onion and brown slowly.
Line the bottom of a baking dish with the bacon. Cut the rest of the bacon and ham into small pieces and fry them with the onion. Deglaze with the whipping cream and remove the pan from the heat.
Separate eggs, beat egg whites with 1 tsp salt until stiff. Stir the yolks and pepper into the cooled whipped cream mixture. Finely chop chives and stir in as well.
Add the pasta and finally fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour this mixture into the baking dish, sprinkle with cheese and bake at 180 degrees for about 35 minutes.
