A bean recipe for every taste:

For the flatbread, cook yeast dough and shape into two pan-sized flatbreads. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Cover and bake each flatbread for 35 minutes over medium heat, turning to the other side after 15 minutes.

For the farmer’s pan, cut the meat into thin strips. Peel and finely dice onions and garlic. Fry well with the meat in the remaining oil. In the meantime, blanch (scald) the tomatoes, skin, seed and dice them.

Drain and rinse kidney beans and hominy. Remove seeds from peppers and cut into pieces. Add the prepared vegetables to the meat and sauté. Pour vegetable juice, steam for ten minutes. Season to taste with spices.

Serve with pita bread.
