First separate the eggs into egg yolks and whites. Later, beat the butter, sugar and yolks until creamy. Finely grate the chocolate and add it to the flour and spices. Add the walnuts and mix well. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in.

Put the mixture on a greased baking tray and bake at 175 °C for about 25 minutes. After baking, brush with the apricot jam on the spot. Then cool well. Make the dark cooking chocolate liquid and cover the dough with it. Spread the walnut halves evenly on top and cut into pieces after cooling.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
