Pasta dishes are always a good idea!
Break the macaroni into pieces and cook al dente in salted water according to cooking instructions.
Soak the bread roll in hot water. Finely dice the ham. Remove the peel from the onion and cut it into fine cubes.
Squeeze the bread roll and mix it with the minced beef, ham and onion cubes, egg, crushed garlic clove and spices to make a smooth dough.
Form balls from the mixture and fry them in hot oil until brown. Now for the tomato sauce, remove the skin from the onion, dice finely and sauté in hot oil until soft. Add the tomatoes with liquid, season with pepper, salt, oregano and basil. Cook the sauce for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime, grease an ovenproof gratin dish and cut the cheese into pieces. Layer the drained pasta, cheese cubes, fried meatballs, sauce and the basil alternately in the mold.
Last, sprinkle the grated Parmesan on top of the casserole and place butter flakes on top. Bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees for about 45 minutes.
