Clean, rinse, spin dry and shred the lettuce leaves. Dice the peppers, cut the tomatoes into wedges and remove the stalk.

Cut ham into cubes, mountain cheese into wide strips. Peel eggs and cut into slices.

Arrange the ingredients with the lettuce, diced peppers and tomatoes on 4 plates.

Mix mustard with salt, pepper and vinegar, stir in oil and drizzle the dressing over the lettuce.

Serve with baguette or hearty farmhouse bread.
