Peel the potatoes raw and cut into pieces of about 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 cm.

Boil in salted water with a little caraway until soft (about 15-20 minutes).

Then drain water and mash potatoes. Add milk, butter, grated nutmeg (be careful not to add too much) and the other spices according to the desired taste and consistency.

Mix the mashed potatoes with an ordinary hand mixer until it is nice and creamy.
