Honey Tea Bread

A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Put raisins in a bowl with the honey and pour the tea.

Leave to swell for 2 hours. Then stir in the eggs.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir into the raisin mixture. Fill the dough into a greased loaf pan with a capacity of about 1 l and bake for 1 hour (+ 10 min. if necessary).

Cool on a cooling rack.

Variation d. Erfasser:

1 Prs. Salt about a quarter teaspoon Instead of raisins: 180 g currants, 60 g dried cranberries Spice mix: 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger, 1 new spice, 2 cloves, ground, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Tea: 3 heaped teaspoons Bewleys irish breakfast
