Peel the onions and cut into thin slices. Peel the apples, quarter them, remove the core and cut them into slices in the same way. Cut the tomatoes crosswise on the front side, blanch them with hot water and peel them, then cut them into slices in the same way. Lightly sugar the apples and tomatoes and season with salt. Grease an ovenproof dish with lard. Fry half of the onions in it until translucent. Next, add half of the apples and tomatoes.
