For Chinese bananas, mix the flour and starch with the baking powder, add the egg whites, then mix with 2 tablespoons of water to make a thick batter.
Leave to soak for about 1/2 hour. Peel the bananas, cut them into three cm thick slices and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Heat the oil in a saucepan (or deep fryer) and dip the bananas into the batter, then deep fry in the hot oil until golden and drain on paper towels.
Heat the honey and sesame seeds in a pan and toss the bananas in it. Serve the Chinese bananas immediately.
