For the carrot soup, peel and slice carrots, onions and potatoes. Sauté carrots and onions in olive oil.

Add potatoes and cook in soup with bay leaf and cloves until soft. Remove spices and puree. Season with salt and pepper and refine with whipped cream.

Sprinkle the carrot soup with finely chopped herbs and serve hot.
