A bean recipe for every taste:

As a summer vegetable, beans are particularly sought after because you can make them in so many ways. Dried, they come to the table in winter.

Cut the potatoes and pork belly into small ragout pieces.

Heat the oil in a saucepan, then quickly brown the meat pieces, add the washed beans and the cleaned carrots cut into finger-thick stalks, season with salt and douse with hot water. Put the savory on top and cover the vegetables with the small peeled potatoes.

In a well-sealed saucepan, let the dish simmer for about 35-40 minutes until the potatoes are soft. They should still be whole and not begin to fall apart. Serve with a piece of hearty wood-fired bread (to be credited additionally).
