Instructions:

Beat eggs, powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until foamy. Then fold in flour and baking powder.

Spread the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper (25 x 35 cm) and bake at 190 °C for approx. 12-15 minutes. Then remove the paper from the pastry sheet and let it cool.

In the meantime, for the filling, soak the gelatine in cold water and squeeze out. Heat 2 tablespoons of applesauce and dissolve the squeezed gelatin in it. Stir this mixture into the remaining applesauce.

Briefly pull the sponge cake through the rum.

Cover the sponge cake base with a baking frame. Spread half of the apple mixture on it, cover it with the soaked biscuits and cover them with the remaining cream. Refrigerate for a few hours.

Before serving, whip the whipped cream until stiff, brush the surface of the slice with it and sprinkle with chocolate flakes.
