A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Cream butter until creamy. Add sugar and eggs, stirring repeatedly. Mix baking powder into the flour and this spoonful by spoonful to the dough form and stir through.

Fold in minced almonds, chocolate (not too fine!), candied lemon peel and candied orange peel.

Put the dough into a greased loaf pan and bake at medium heat (175 degrees) for 30-45 minutes.

Personal notes: 1) If you don’t like candied lemon peel / candied orange peel: the cake tastes just as wonderful without! 2) I usually bake it 45-50 min **.
