Fricadelen from grain are not only far healthier than minced steaks. They taste just as flavorful that you can entice even people who are still a little reserved about vegetarian cuisine.

Skin and finely chop the onion as well as the garlic clove. * Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan. Fry the onion and garlic at low temperature, stirring until translucent. Add the shredded wheat and fry until it is completely covered with fat. Add the water and cook for 10 minutes at low temperature with the lid closed. * Turn off the heat and let it swell for another 50 minutes with the lid closed. Cool it in the open saucepan until it is lukewarm. * Mix the eggs with a fork and add them to the wheat flour with the parsley and oregano. Season the dough with salt. With wet hands, shape the dough into 8 small plants. * Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan.
Fry the meatballs in it over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
