For the broad beans with bacon, dice the bacon and put it in a pot.
Peel and finely chop the onion. Cook the bacon and the onion until translucent. Add the broad beans with their liquid. Add the savory as well. Put the lid on and simmer gently for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime, peel and wash the potatoes. Then cook the potatoes separately. Finally, season the broad beans with salt and pepper. Add a little smoked salt if necessary.
Mix cornstarch with water and carefully add to the broad beans. Bring to a light boil until desired thickening. Serve the broad beans with bacon together with the boiled potatoes.
