Rinse and hull strawberries. Drain well. Cut large fruits in half. Sprinkle with sugar. Cover and let stand. In the meantime, cook the dough. Put the flour and salt in a suitable bowl. Add the egg yolks and stir heartily. Then, while stirring, gradually pour in the milk. Stir in sugar and lemon zest.
Grease a fireproof dish sufficiently with light butter. Add half of the dough. Put half of the strawberries on top, then the rest of the batter and the remaining strawberries. Place in the heated oven on the middle shelf.
