Mix cut red cabbage with all ingredients, press well and let marinate for 1 day. Then cover and steam slowly for about 10-15 minutes, first at high heat, later at lower heat, not too soft (the cabbage should still have bite). Stir a little flour with some red wine until smooth and thicken the cabbage with it.
