For the pineapple punch, first thinly peel the oranges with a peeler. Then squeeze them.

Heat the peel, juice and all the other ingredients, except the rum, together in a saucepan to boiling point and leave to infuse for 15 minutes. Strain.

Heat the pineapple punch again, add the rum, immediately pour into punch glasses and serve hot.
