Remove the skin from the pears, cut them in half and remove the core. Mix the sugar with the water. Bring to a boil in a puree until a thick syrup is formed. Pour over the fruit. Cover and leave to infuse for 24 hours. Now pour off the juice, bubble in a small saucepan until only about half the liquid is present. Again pour over the pears form and steep for another 24 hours. Pour off the juice again. Mix with the same mass of pear brandy. Layer the pears in one-l glasses. Cover completely with the liquid. Close the jars.
