For the honey-chili roast chicken, preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Wash the chicken thoroughly, clean and pat dry. Mix the spices with the honey in a small bowl.
Melt the butter in a pot. Place the whole chicken on a baking tray and spread the honey-chili marinade on the chicken with your hands. Then drizzle the chicken with the melted butter.
Reduce the oven temperature to 175 degrees and roast the chicken for about 1.5-2 hours. The roast chicken is done when the meat thermometer reads 80 degrees at the thickest part.
