Look forward to this fine asparagus recipe:

Clean the asparagus, i.e. shorten the ends by a third and, depending on freshness, perhaps remove the peel from the rear part of the spears. Steam or cook in a little salted water until crisp.

Mix soft butter, mustard and a little salt with a ladle until peaks form. Stir in pine nuts, peperoncino and chervil.

Drain the asparagus well and place in a large baking dish.

Sprinkle the Sbrinz or Parmesan over the top and evenly distribute the pine nut butter in flakes over the asparagus.

Bake the asparagus in the oven heated to 220 degrees for eight to ten minutes until the cheese has melted slightly. Bring to the table hot.

Small potatoes cooked in their skins or fresh bread are suitable as a side dish.
