Instructions:

For the gooseberry cake with snowy topping, first warm the butter, mix with the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Separate the eggs. Add egg yolks and eggnog and mix until fluffy.

Mix flour with baking powder and stir in. Pour into a greased and floured baking dish. Spread the cleaned gooseberries on top. Bake in the oven at 180 °C until almost done.

In the meantime, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Slowly add the granulated sugar. Spread the snow mixture over the cake and bake until done (6-8 min.). When the snow cover is lightly browned, the cake is done.
