For the spice cake, mix flour with baking powder, cocoa and the spices. Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Grease a square baking pan with butter and dust with flour.

Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until creamy. Beat yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar until thick and fluffy. Fold in flour mixture and beaten egg whites alternately.

Pour the batter into the pan and smooth it out, bake in the oven for about 40 minutes (test with a stick). Let cool, cut once and fill with the jam.

Heat the chocolate icing and cover the spice cake with it. Draw stripes with the white chocolate.
