Pumpkin Dumplings

Peel, core and coarsely dice the pumpkin. Boil the flesh in plenty of salted water until soft and then puree. Knead the puree, flour and egg until the dough is firm enough. Cut dumplings with a teaspoon and cook in boiling salted water. When they float to the surface, remove from the pot and arrange on plates with butter and Parmesan cheese. (Try cooking one dumpling for now. If it falls apart, you will need to mix in some more flour)A tomato sauce goes very well with the dumplings.
