For the elderflowers in wholemeal spelt dough, first prepare the dough. For this, whisk the egg with the milk. Add the remaining ingredients and let rest for at least 1/2 hour.
Clean the elderflower umbels (shake them out, if necessary wash them briefly and let them drain). Stir the dough once again (add milk or flour if necessary) and mix the elderflowers in it a few times. Bake in hot fat until golden brown.
Mix powdered sugar with vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the baked elderflowers.
