Runner beans are better than bush beans, which are too tender for drying. Rinse the beans, preferably freshly picked, break off the two ends, blanch in lightly salted water for 5 minutes, pat dry on a paper towel. Dry on a close-meshed rack in the shade. Keep in a cloth bag. At the same time, dry savory, which you keep in an extra bag, along with the beans.
