For the breadcrumbs:

First, peel the onion, wash and finely chop. Soak the old bread roll in vegetable soup, squeeze well and crumble.

Put minced meat in a bowl and knead well with onion, breadcrumbs, egg, caraway seeds, thyme, salt, bell pepper and paprika powder. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes.

Form 8 balls from the meat mixture with slightly moistened hands and press a hollow into each ball. Fill each with a cube of cheese and close well at the top.

Break the eggs in a deep dish and whisk with salt.

Roll meat loaves in flour, dip in beaten eggs and coat with bread crumbs.

Then dip all the meatballs in the egg again and bread them for the second time.

Heat the frying oil to about 170 °C and fry the meat loaves for about 10-12 minutes.

Remove, drain on paper towels and serve warm.
