Drain pear halves well on a sieve. Divide evenly into four dessert glasses. Stir the ginger syrup with the orange juice and cinnamon in a baking bowl. Pour over the top. Cover and place in the freezer of the refrigerator or freezer for two hours.
Form pine nuts on an ungreased baking sheet. Put them in the heated oven on the middle shelf.

Drain the ginger plums, dry with household paper and cut into cubes.
Spread evenly over the finished dessert with the pine nuts. Serve ice cold.
