For the Portuguese steak, press 4 cloves of garlic, mix with vinegar and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Season with pepper. Rub steaks with it and let marinate for approx. 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 80 °C.
Heat remaining olive oil, sauté garlic clove and bay leaf for 1 minute, remove spices. Sear steaks in hot oil on both sides for 1 minute each.
Reduce heat and continue searing on both sides for 1-2 minutes each. Salt steaks, remove and keep warm in oven. Fry bacon briefly in remaining oil. Place on top of steaks.
Dab oil from pan with paper towel. Deglaze the pan with red wine and reduce by half. In the meantime, heat a little butter in a separate frying pan and fry the eggs in it.
At the same time stir the lemon juice to the sauce. Stir remaining butter pieces into sauce one by one, do not boil anymore. Pour over steaks and bacon. Serve with fried eggs.
