Beat eggs in a bowl, add buttermilk, baking soda, oil and sugar, stir well with a whisk. Add flour and mix until smooth.

Pour batter into a greased, hot waffle iron and bake until no longer steaming and waffles are golden brown.

If desired, fold in a tiny bit of finely chopped pecans before preparing.
