Vegetable Soup with Barley

Soak barley in water for one night. Sauté onion cubes in hot oil until soft. Add drained barley and steam briefly. Extinguish with clear soup and cook for about half an hour. Add chopped vegetables, cook for another 15 minutes. Add whipped cream and thicken. Season to taste. Add chive rolls.
