For the shrimp and mushroom dumplings on asparagus from the steamer, first prepare the dough. Knead all ingredients well, form into a ball, wrap in foil and let rest for 30 minutes.
For the filling, finely puree all ingredients in a kitchen blender.
Roll out dough thinly on a floured work surface, cut out circles with a ring. Place filling in center, fold ends together and press down well. Flatten the bulbous side slightly and place in a steamer basket with baking paper.
Place asparagus in deep insert along with marinade ingredients.
Cook both in steamer for about 8 – 10 minutes.
Place asparagus in a deep dish, baste with the broth and arrange the dumplings on top in a pleasing manner. Garnish the shrimp-mushroom dumplings on asparagus from the steamer with black sesame seeds and the fresh coriander leaves.
