Peel the carrots and grate finely. Beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and the syrup. Then fold in the remaining ingredients. Pour the mixture into a well-greased cake pan and bake at medium heat (175 °C) for about 50 minutes. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
