For the Buchteln, first mix flour with salt and sugar and crumble in yeast. Let the butter melt and add it. Mix the egg yolks with the milk and add to the mixture. Whip up a medium-stiff yeast dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place.
Now cut pieces of dough with a spoon and pull apart, fill with jam and twist together. Melt some butter in a baking dish. Put in the buns. Let rise again.
Bake in the oven heated to 180 °C for 30 to 45 minutes. Sprinkle the Buchteln with powdered sugar before serving.
