Instructions:

(*) for a casserole dish of about 30 cm length soften potatoes in a little salted water, pour off water.

Mash potatoes, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg (freshly grated). Add flour.

Form dumplings with two soup spoons. Dip each spoon in melted butter before shaping. Place the dumplings in a baking dish. Pour in the cream. Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake in the oven at 220 °C on the middle shelf for ten minutes.

Serve with apple puree or leaf salad.

Pfluten (Floutes): formed mashed potatoes, fried in the stove until crispy. It originates from Alsace.

It can also be roasted in a frying pan.
