For the pears in maple syrup, squeeze the lemon and pour the juice into a saucepan. Peel the pears, divide them into wedges, and cut out the skin. Immediately toss them in the lemon juice.

Then very barely cover the pears with water, add the maple syrup and cook the pears briefly until they have the desired softness. Then pour the compote into jars, seal with rubber bands and clamps, and sterilize at 80 degrees for about 20 minutes. With whipped cream, in which ground nuts are mixed, the pears in maple syrup taste incredibly good!
