For the marble meringue, beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon until very foamy.

Stir in the oil and water alternately.

Sift the baking powder into the flour (so that no lumps form in the cake) and gently fold in both.

Pour most of the mixture into a buttered and floured cake pan.

Stir in the cocoa in the remaining part.

Empty the mixture into the cake pan and run a fork or the handle of a wooden spoon through the batter.

Bake at 180 °C for approx. 60 minutes.

After baking, allow the marble ring cake to cool briefly, turn out of the mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
