For the gingerbread hearts, mix all ingredients for the gingerbread dough in a bowl with a mixer. Then portion the dough into a heart shape on wafers (can be slightly larger than the heart) and bake at 170°C for 15-20 minutes.
After cooling, cut the wafer to fit and brush the heart with white chocolate coating and sprinkle with almond flakes.
Decorate the gingerbread hearts individually with food sugar color, e.g. write ornaments or names on wafer rectangles.
