Have fun preparing this mushroom dish!
Grease a shallow ovenproof round baking dish with butter.
Pre-cook potatoes in a saucepan with lightly salted boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain well. Place a quarter of the potatoes on the bottom of the dish.
3. Place 1/4 of the mushrooms on top of the potatoes and sprinkle with a quarter of rosemary, chives and garlic. Continue layering in the same manner. Finish with a layer of potatoes.
Pour the whipped cream over the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
5. bake in a heated oven at 190 °C /gas mark 5 for 45 minutes until the casserole is golden brown and very hot.
Garnish with the chive rolls and remove from the dish to the table on the spot.
Tip: For special occasions, you can bake the cake in a cake pan lined with parchment paper and turn it out to serve.
You can use any mushroom mixture for this creamy layer cake. It can be served directly in the form in which it was baked.
