For the donuts with sugar glaze, mix the soft butter and sugar and gradually beat in the eggs. Add the milk, cornflour and salt.

Mix the flour with the baking powder and knead into the dough. Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick and cut out circles about 8 cm in diameter with a round cookie cutter.

Cut out a smaller circle in the center of each to make rings. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the donuts until golden brown. Drain the donuts and let them cool a bit.

For the icing, mix the sugar well with a little water and color with 2-3 drops of food coloring. Pour over the finished donuts and immediately sprinkle with sprinkles.
