Try this delicious cake recipe:

Dough: Make a dough from the above ingredients. Line 2 springform pans (28 cm ø) with parchment paper, place half of the dough on each.

Topping (meringue): Beat the egg whites until stiff, add sugar and spread the amount on the two halves of the dough in the springform pans, sprinkle with flaked almonds and bake at 180 °C for about 15 to 20 min until golden.

Cool.

Filling: whip the cream until stiff, fold in the currants and fill the amount into one of the two springform pans using a cake ring.

Pre-cut the other half of the cake into pieces and place them on the cake with the meringue part facing up. Chill in the refrigerator for several hours.
