Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 160 °C for the chocolate cake. Line a springform pan with baking paper. Cream sour cream, sugar, eggs and oil.

Add flour, ground almonds, cocoa and baking powder and fold in well. Pour chocolate mixture into springform pan, smooth out and bake for about 20 minutes.

For the curd mixture, separate the eggs, beat the egg whites to snow and mix the yolks with the curd, cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites.

Pour the curd mixture onto the pre-baked chocolate layer and bake for about 35 minutes more – test with a chopstick. Make sure that the cake does not get too dark.

It is best to let the cake cool well in the refrigerator before eating.
