For the chocolate cake, melt the chocolate for the cake over a water bath. Meanwhile, beat the egg whites until foamy. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time and mix well. Fold in the chocolate and stir in the beaten egg whites. Lastly, fold in the sifted flour. Pour into a round springform pan and bake at 170°C for about 30 to 35 minutes and let cool well.
For the chocolate glaze, heat the chocolate with the water and granulated sugar and let it melt. Then pour it over the chocolate cake and spread it. Decorate the chocolate cake with decorations of your choice.
