For the apricot cake, first wash and pit the apricots. Cut them into halves or even smaller.
Preheat the oven to 170 °C top-bottom heat.
Beat the butter until creamy and gradually mix in all the ingredients.
Now line the baking tray with baking paper and spread the dough on the tray. Dredge the apricots in some flour and press them into the dough.
Bake for 45-50 min depending on the size of the baking tray (about 40×30). After about 10-15 minutes (depending on the brownness) cover with another baking paper so that the dough does not burn.
