A simple but delicious cake recipe:
Knead butter, flour, egg, salt, powdered sugar and water into a smooth dough, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 120 minutes. Roll out dough, spread a cake springform pan (26 cm Â) so that a rim stands up. Prick the edge a few times with a fork.
Remove the skin from the apples, quarter them, core them, cut them into slices and place them on the dough. Sprinkle vanilla sugar and Calvados over the top. Bake apple pie in oven at225 °C for 30-40 min.
Heat apricot jam and mold over warm cake, sprinkle with pistachios and cool.
