A simple but delicious cake recipe:

(*) Ingredients for a large cake springform pan (d = 27 cm) Knead egg, baking powder, flour, sugar and butter to a dough. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Line the tart springform pan with baking foil, then knead out two-thirds of the dough on the bottom, using the other third to coat the greased sides. Place the tart springform pan in the oven for about 10 minutes, remove and cool.

Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. Put the sugar, milk, vanilla sugar and butter in a small saucepan, then crumble in the marzipan mixture. Mix the vanilla pudding with 4 tablespoons of skimmed milk. Bring the milk to a boil with the ingredients, stirring constantly and making sure that the marzipan mixture dissolves. Add the vanilla pudding on top, stir in and bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the kitchen stove and cool a tiny bit before folding in the eggs.

Fill the cake springform pan with the apple pieces and spread the marzipan mixture evenly over them. Bake the cake in the oven for about an hour until golden brown. Cool and serve with a little whipped cream.
