Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Heat a non-stick frying pan, brush the brown bread with a little butter and toast briefly in it, then remove again.
Lightly roast the onion cut into thin rings in the still hot pan. In the meantime, cover the bread with the smoked meat. Put the onion rings on the bread, spread the cheese on top, sprinkle with paprika powder and put in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the fried eggs in the pan and prepare the plates with the lettuce, some dressing, tomato slices and ketchup if desired.
Once the cheese is melted, remove the farmer toasts from the tube and arrange with the fried eggs. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper and serve immediately.
