Preheat oven to 180 °C top and bottom heat. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut the chestnuts in half.
Separate the eggs and immediately beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat yolks, soft butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Mix in flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Carefully fold in the beaten egg whites.
Spread the finished cake batter on a baking sheet. Spread the chestnut halves on the dough. Bake in a hot oven for about 40-50 minutes.
