For the zucchini sauce, cut the onion, garlic and bacon into small cubes and sauté in a little butter or magarine. Zucchini can be finely grated with or without peel – as you prefer – and add to the bacon and onion.
Simmer gently and season with salt and pepper. Add the whipped cream and, if necessary, thicken the zucchini sauce with flour.
